On 17th August, Joomla 4 was released with the ultimate objective of modernizing the Web and the community ecosystem. Whether you are starting a new project on Joomla 4 or considering migrating your Joomla 3 site, Extly has news for you.

We are happy to announce the immediate availability of our extensions ready for Joomla 4.

The only exceptions are the solutions that depend on SobiPro and K2. We are still waiting for these components to release their respective updates.

These are the solutions ready for Joomla 4:

  • Perfect Publisher v9.3.0
  • XT Search for Algolia v4.11.0
  • XT Adaptive Images v6.8.0
  • XT YouTube Optimizer v2.16.0
  • XT Perfect SEO Pagination v2.0.0
  • XT Cookie Consent Banner v1.5.0

Our goal is to make the migration to Joomla 4 as easy as possible. Therefore, our extensions work simultaneously on Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 to smooth the migration between versions.

To update any of our extensions, as always, you can simply install the new version on top of the previous installation. The extension will configure everything for you.

Moving from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 is a migration process, and it requires some critical steps to remember. All the extensions and templates must be ready for Joomla 4. If an extension is not compatible, it can break the website. For further information, please visit the Joomla Documentation: Joomla 3.x to 4.x Step by Step Migration

If you are migrating to Joomla 4, remember to follow the official procedure to the letter. Briefly:

  • Backup your website
  • Update to the latest Joomla 3.10 release
  • Check all the extensions installed and templates. If an extension or template is not compatible and there's no update available, remove/disable it before upgrading to J4.
  • Update Extly extensions to their latest version

All our extensions have been improved and are fully compatible with Joomla 4. However, we are aware that some functions may not work 100% correctly, just like Joomla itself. We encourage you to report any issue to us in the Support System or the Community Forum.

To the moon!
